About the role?

Working under the supervision and co-ordination of the Workshop Shift Manager and Paint Line Team Leader, the main task is to accurately and efficiently prepare vehicles ready for the Paint Refinishers.

Key responsibilities of the Role:

  • To prepare vehicles for necessary paint repairs.
  • To carry out masking procedures.
  • To sand down panels.
  • Priming panels.
  • To carry out buffering and polishing techniques. 
  • To maintain the upkeep of all Workshop tools and equipment.
  • To ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Undertake other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function.

Shift Pattern: Weekly shift rotation 6-2 / 2-10. Monday – Friday. 

About you?

  • You must hold a Valid Driving Licence with less than 6 penalty points and no DR offences for an insurance purpose
  • You must be competent in Vehicle Prepping with at least one years’ experience.
  • You will be required to complete a skills test on site: Proving sanding, masking and priming skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, able to use own initiative, be self-motivated and to be able to work unsupervised.
  • Fully conversant with Health & Safety, relating to the Paint Refinisher role and equipment used.
