We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Estimator will play a pivotal role in accurately assessing project costs and providing comprehensive estimates for our fire and blast protection solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to our continued success and growth in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project management and engineering teams to understand project requirements and scope.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
  • Identify materials, labour, and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Utilize industry-standard estimating tools and software to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and proposals.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and pricing schedules.
  • Present estimates to management and participate in bid review meetings.
  • Assist in the development of strategies to optimize cost efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing, and market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in a Manufacturing/Engineering background with specific experience in fire and blast protection solutions would be highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and documents.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations is advantageous.
