Bristow secures three-year contract extension for Southern North Sea

Helicopter operator Bristow has secured a three-year contract extension to transport workers offshore in the Southern North Sea.

The deal with operator Perenco includes seven-day-a-week coverage from its base in Norwich until December 2021.

Bristow did not disclose the value of the contract extension.

To meet the week-long demand, Bristow will use five Leonardo AW139 aircraft, up from the current three.

AW139 helicopters have 12 seats  travels at normal speeds of over 170 miles per hour.
