Pipetech look to flow into Europe with double appointment

Offshore firm Pipetech have announced a recruitment double as it adds to its sales team in both Aberdeen and Norway.

Gavin Booth joins the firm as sales manager for the UK and Holland while Thomas Karlsen has been brought on as Scandinavian sales manager.

With these appointments, Pipetech, who solve flow and blockage issues within North Sea offshore assets, power plants and refineries, will look to increase its European business.

Eric Doyle, managing director of Pipetech, said: “Gavin and Thomas are both key appointments for Pipetech as we continue to expand our operations across Europe.

“They both bring invaluable knowledge and experience of the oil and gas industry at a vital time for our business and we look forward to seeing the results we know they’ll produce.”

Launched in 2001 Pipetech hold bases in both Aberdeen and Stavanger, Norway.

Booth, who previously occupied senior positions at ACE Winches and ATR Group, will operate from the company’s base in Aberdeen.

While Karlsen, a former employee at Statoil, Conoco-Phillips and Aker Solutions, will be responsible for Pipetech’s expansion in Norway, Denmark and Sweden from Stavanger.

Eric Doyle added: “We are positive about regional business streams and are working with contracts in place and strong business development opportunities. Pipetech has experienced steady success in the last 12 months, and these appointments are a direct response to the growth of our business.”
