Lundin pulled up on string of shortcomings on Edvard Grieg

A safety watchdog has highlighted a catalogue of electrical issues on Lundin’s Edvard Grieg facility.

Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority uncovered the non conformities during an audit at the end of May.

A total of five issues were found, relating to work in and operation of electrical facilities, rooms for high-voltage installations, emergency power systems and
notification of hazard and accident situations.

In addition, improvement points were identified relating to installations in electrical facilities, barrier management, overview of overrides and disconnections of safety systems – jumper logs, non-conformity handling, routines and control system for electrical systems and temporary equipment.

Lundin has until August 16 to tell the watchdog how the non-conformities will be addressed and to provide an assessment of the improvement points.
