Fantastic Opportunity Available! RMS have an exciting role available for a Transport Operation Administrator to join a leading Transport & Logistics client based in Wix, Essex.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday between 7AM – 5:30PM
Within this role, you will support the Traffic team and other departments by responding and resolving customer enquiries together with supporting general administration duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing and responding to customer enquiries with resolution or escalation.
- Liaising daily with customers to report status of bookings.
- Driver job tracking and delivery time / late vehicle reporting.
- Dealership delivery notification reporting.
- Liaising with the Traffic Allocation team and Transport Drivers re their work and answering queries.
- Liaising with customers and compounds giving advance notification of vehicles required for collection by our drivers.
- Sub-contractor liaison to ensure correct and timely deliveries.
- Building jobs accurately in the Traffic Management System (TMS) ensuring all rates, vehicle details and special instructions are visible for the Traffic Team and Drivers.
- TMS updates – daily checks if loads are “wrapped”.
- Managing driver validations via the TMS system and issuing JLR validations.
- Checking drivers are inputting VIN’s / PDA’s correctly on their PDA’s and contacting them accordingly.
- Auditing – delivery addresses; rates assigned on TMS; reordering jobs on the planner.
- Updating driver holiday and sickness in the TMS.
- Responding to ever changing priorities depending on current needs.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time.
What Are We Looking For:
- Experience and knowledge of the Road Haulage Industry together with good geographical understanding of the UK.
- Excellent Excel skills: able to produce, cross reference, add formulas and perform look ups with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work during busier periods.
- Problem solving skills & the ability to adapt plans.
- Excellent communication and good telephone manner.
- Ability to work autonomously but with a team environment.
- A meticulous attention to detail, and an enquiring nature is required to identify potential issues.
- Must be able to accept responsibility of tasks undertaken and to adapt to changing priorities.
