RMS – Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of our client, in Peterlee

This is a permanent position, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are at the forefront of their industry

Role Overview: To support the finance function in producing timely and accurate financial reports and statements in line with group & statutory requirements. Generate business analysis which helps to explain plant performance for management reporting and decision making

Day to Day duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Support the creation of statutory and management reports and statements
* Balance sheet and subledger reconciliations
* Business analysis, variance accounting and cost calculation
* JSOX and internal audit
* Support and drive project and improvement activities

To be considered this position you must:

Qualifications

* Working towards full ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
* GCSE’s Grades A-C (Maths, English and Science)

Skills & Knowledge

* Data inputting (speed and accuracy)
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial information
* Numeracy skills (attention to detail)
* Highly proficient in Excel
* Analytical skill set
* Self-motivated, has initiative and organised
* Ability and passion for developing others

Experience

* 3 years’ accountancy experience
