We are actively recruiting for Production/Manufacturing Operatives to join our clients expanding assembly team in Newton Aycliffe. This company is well-known for its reputation in delivering premium-quality finished products to its valued customers.

This role is a contract of up to 6 month. 

Role Overview:
This role will play a crucial part in the assembly process and requires a high degree of manual dexterity performing a variety of manual tasks to produce high-quality products. Duties include:

  • Line loading, using material handling principles to ensure stock is available and correctly stored to feed assembly.
  • Performing manual tasks in the manufacturing process, such as assembly, testing, or labelling.
  • Inspecting parts for defects or imperfections and ensuring that they meet quality standards.
  • Following standard operating procedures and work instructions to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Testing finished products to ensure they function correctly.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a manual assembly or production role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Rates:

  • £12 per hour (£23,400 per annum).
  • Overtime is regularly available at the rates of £18 and £24ph, providing opportunity to maximise earnings.
  • Holidays accrued and paid in addition.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 16:30 with a 14.00 finish on a Friday.
  • All breaks are fully paid.

Please note: As part of the application process, you will be tested on manual dexterity, following visual instructions and basic numeracy. You will also undergo a Drugs & Alcohol Test which includes a hair sample (which produces results from 3 to 6 months history).
