Drive for renewables sees AREG membership grow

Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG) has grown its membership over the past 12 months, with sign-ups coming from leading companies within the renewables sector, renowned industry bodies and energy companies who are placing an increased focus on clean energy.

Among the 40 new sign-ups are Montrose Port Authority, a leading service hub for the North Sea energy sector, OGUK, the not-for-profit representative body for the UK’s oil and gas industry, Aker Solutions, a global provider of products and services to the energy industry, Ryse Hydrogen, the creators of the UK’s first network of green hydrogen production plants, and OPITO, the energy industry’s skills and safety body.

AREG was founded in 2003 to support firms seeking growth within the renewables sector. It provides opportunities for direct access to some of the industry’s largest developers through its events. It also connects businesses with access to ground-breaking projects, both domestically and abroad, and ensures members are provided with updates on emerging opportunities in the sector.
