Archer to service Apache’s Forties, Beryl fields for another 3 years

Archer has clinched a new three year deal to provide a range of services at Apache’s Forties and Beryl fields in the North Sea.

The contract is for platform drilling management services including operations and maintenance.

It covers the Forties Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta as well as the Beryl Alpha and Bravo platforms.

Archer has provided services on the Forties field since 2004 and Beryl since 2012.

The new agreement runs until December 31, 2020, though two additional two-year extension options are built in.

Kenny Dey, vice president, platform drilling at Archer, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this three year contract. It is recognition of the hard work and commitment from all our personnel by consistently maintaining a safe environment for all those engaged on the Apache’s operations, whilst ensuring a high level of operational and technical efficiency.

“We look forward to continuing our working relationship with Apache through the duration of the new 3 year contract”.
