Exciting Opportunity! We are growing our Compound Team and looking for someone who can support with vehicle tracking & movements! 

  • Location: Corby
  • Job Type: Temp to Perm
  • Opening Hours: 6 AM to 8 PM (overtime & unsociable hours premium available)
  • Salary: £12.94 per hour, paid weekly every friday.

Reporting to the Compound Manager and Team Leader, the Progress Chaser is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate movement of vehicles within the site. This role is vital to maintaining an efficient flow of operations and supporting the overall logistics and preparation process for vehicles on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently carry out all vehicle movements within the compound, ensuring vehicles are handled with care and in accordance with site procedures.
  • Accurately locate and relocate vehicles across various zones within the site, ensuring the right vehicle is delivered to the correct location as per scheduling or instruction.
  • Support operational teams by assisting with the charging of electric vehicles, following the correct protocols to ensure vehicles are ready for onward movement or delivery.
  • Assist with refuelling vehicles as required, ensuring fuel levels meet required standards and handling all fuel safely and responsibly.
  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including vehicle checklists, movement logs, and discrepancy reports, and promptly report any issues such as vehicle damage, missing items, or incorrect allocations.
  • Conduct routine storage and maintenance checks on vehicles to ensure they are secure, clean, and meet the expected standards for storage and presentation.
  • Comply with all site health and safety guidelines and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others at all times.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and management to support the smooth operation of the compound.
  • Undertake any additional duties as directed by management, consistent with the level and scope of the role.

Who You Are:

  • Aged 22 or over (for insurance purposes)
  • Full UK Driving licence (less than 6 penalty points, no DR10 Offences)
  • Reliable and responsible, with a strong commitment to safety.
  • Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication skills and a team player.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
