RMS are excited to be working with one of the UK’s largest independent new and used equipment dealer and are looking for a Parts Assistant to join their team!
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £26-£28k per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8AM-5PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and respond to telephone calls and emails from customers, Production, and Service departments.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to determine product specifications, availability, and lead times.
- Use manufacturer help desk platforms to gather information and resolve technical queries.
- Assist in assigning parts and materials to Production and Service jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Allocate parts to live jobs in the ERP system, applying relevant customer-specific discounts.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse Department to ensure timely dispatch of goods via packing slips.
- Support the organisation and processing of returned parts in collaboration with the Warehouse team.
- Review completed jobs to verify all required materials have been issued and unused parts returned.
- Raise accurate Purchase Orders in line with company procedures.
- Provide regular updates on order statuses and parts lead times to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate the movement of stock between warehouses to meet job and customer requirements.
- Track parts orders through pallet and courier networks to ensure timely delivery.
- Support Workshop and Service departments in the supply and availability of necessary parts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve administrative queries and support operational efficiency.
- Report any Health & Safety concerns immediately to the Line Manager.
- Ensure correct use of company uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in line with company policy.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Line Manager.
About You:
- Previous experience in a similar parts coordination or materials management role is desired, however full training will be provided.
- General Administration experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
