- Position: Forklift Driver / Material Handler
- Contractual: Permanent Position
- Working Hours: Working across a 3-shift rotation:
Mornings: Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 15:10 and Friday 07:00 -12:10.
Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 15:00 – 23:10 and Friday 12:00 – 20:10
Nights: Sunday 20:30 – 07:10 and Monday to Thursday 23:00 – 07:10

About the Role:
RMS are seeking an experienced and skilled Forklift Truck (FLT) Counterbalance Driver to join our client’s dynamic Logistics department. This role is predominantly based in the Goods Out area, where you will play a crucial role in the efficient handling and transportation of stillages and pallets.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all goods are safely loaded onto and unloaded from wagons with precision and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Goods Handling: Safely load and unload pallets of goods onto and from wagons using forklift equipment, ensuring accuracy and care.
- Stillage Management: Locate and transport pre-packed boxes (stillages) at low levels onto pallets and subsequently onto wagons, executing these tasks with precision.
- Code & Quality Checks: Meticulously ensure that all pallet codes align with delivery codes, maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
- Scanning & Documentation: Efficiently operate handheld scanners to log all stillages into the in-house database. You will also be required to sign off on load sheets and counter-sign necessary documents to confirm successful completion.
- Forklift Operation: Operate and maintain the forklift in strict accordance with your forklift licence and the company’s operational protocols.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times, actively contributing to a safe and secure working environment.
About You:
- The Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months of continuous experience as a Forklift Truck Counterbalance Operator.
- The Ideal candidate will hold a valid FLT Counterbalance licence.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations related to forklift operations.
- The ideal candidate will have the ability and experience to handle goods, load pallets, and check codes with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating handheld scanners and logging data into an in-house database.
