RMS are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join a facilities team within an automotive setting in Killingholme. This position will play a key role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of the site.

• Location: Killingholme (DN40 3DZ)
• Contract Type: Temporary (Ongoing)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Day Shift)
• Pay Rate: £12.95 per hour (paid weekly every Friday)

About the Role:
This is a hands-on and varied role involving grounds maintenance, forklift operation, cleaning duties, and general site upkeep. You will help ensure the facility remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards at all times.

Grounds Maintenance

• Maintain external areas including grass cutting, weed control, litter picking, and general upkeep
• Carry out seasonal duties such as gritting and salting in winter
• Ensure outdoor areas remain safe and accessible year-round

Forklift Operations

• Safely operate a forklift truck for goods-in, material movement, and scrap handling
• Transport chemicals and materials in line with safety procedures
• Support site logistics and reduce manual handling risks

Workshop Cleaning & Waste Management

• Keep all workshop and internal areas clean, tidy, and organised
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including floor washing, dusting, and waste removal
• Manage waste disposal and recycling in line with environmental standards

General Maintenance Support

• Carry out basic maintenance and minor repair tasks
• Assist with site improvement projects as required
• Report hazards or maintenance issues promptly and support corrective actions

About You:

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or site support role
• Valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance or equivalent)
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks
• Basic maintenance/handyman skills (e.g., painting, minor repairs)
