Join a leading steel fabrication and production team, where quality and safety are top priorities. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Welder to support our clients’ growing operations. 

• Location: Richmond
• Job Type: Temp to Perm
• Working hours: 14:30-23:00 Monday to Thursday, 14.30-20.30 Friday
• Salary: 19.20 per hour incl shift allowance 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural steel welding of plates and sections on a production line, working with material up to 100mm thick.
• Utilize the MAG 135 welding process to complete single and multi-run fillet and butt welds in the down-hand position.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Safely operate grinders and perform finishing work on welds.
• Use overhead cranes to handle and move heavy materials safely.
• Successfully complete a weld test as part of the hiring process.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in structural steel welding and fabrication.
• Proficient in the MAG 135 welding process.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience using grinders and overhead cranes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to pass a practical weld test.
