Our client is part of a global integrated steel business with a focus on sustainability and innovation. As a leading producer within the GREENSTEEL sector, they combine assets from across the steel supply chain, including liquid steel production from both raw and recycled materials, to manufacturing high-value, precision-engineered steels. - Salary: £42260-£51500 Per annum (DOE)

About the Role:
- Ensure all plant operations and personnel comply with Liberty Speciality Steels (LSS) policies and statutory Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
- Ensure that all statutory and LSS requirements for assets within the department are met.
- Manage and control engineering resources and materials to meet the operational needs of your area.
- Develop and implement planned maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Provide technical and engineering support to production and quality managers in your area.
- Identify and contribute to development opportunities aimed at continuously improving engineering and production performance.
- Support the training and ongoing development of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Lead and coordinate investigations, identify root causes, and implement solutions for any issues within your area of responsibility.
- Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal performance in your area.
About you:
- A performance-driven and achievement-oriented professional with leadership potential, motivated by exceeding expectations and delivering excellent results.
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging issues, while also proactively developing and improving assets within your area.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills, particularly when working with technicians.
- A background in plant engineering and maintenance, with the following qualifications and experience:
- Electrical Engineering qualification (HNC or higher depending on experience).
- Experience with three-phase systems, AC/DC equipment, and ideally familiarity with PLC systems such as GEM, Allen-Bradley, and Siemens
- Experience in heavy industrial environments, with in-depth knowledge of complex processes, machinery, and control systems.
- A solid understanding of risk management.
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative approach to practical solutions.
- Experience with a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
