Apache expects full Forties production to return soon

Apache North Sea has announced that it expects to be back to pre-shutdown production levels within several days as Ineos completes repairs to the Forties pipeline.

The American oil firm, who hold a base in Aberdeen, celebrated the partial restart of production to the pipeline on the 23rd December.

However, the oil firm has confirmed that it expects it will take several days for full pre-shut-in production to resume.

Apache North Sea stated that it plans to provide a summary of the total production impact from the unscheduled maintenance on its Q4 2017 earnings call on 22 February 2018.

The Forties oil field is located 110 miles north-east of Aberdeen, Scotland, in the U.K. sector of the Central North Sea.
