Offshore worker airlifted to hospital with suspected ‘cardiac issues’

An offshore worker has been airlifted to hospital with suspected cardiac issues.

The man was taken from a North Sea installation by helicopter this morning.

The medevac aircraft landed at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary just before noon.

A spokeswoman for Aberdeen Coastguard confirmed that the male casualty was suffering from “suspected cardiac issues”.

It is not known which platform the man was airlifted from or who he is employed with.
