The Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) had made another seven blocks available in the 30th North Sea bidding round.
The regulator said the blocks were not included initially because their boundary lines needed to be clarified.
The 30th offshore licensing round was launched last month and will focus on mature areas of the UK continental shelf.
Companies have until November 21 to submit applications for licences, with decisions on awards expected in the second quarter of 2018.
