UK led nano-sat constellation brings first glimpse of low cost global communications network

A British public company planning has successfully launched three communication nano-satellites. The 3-Diamonds satellite constellation launched by Sky and Space (SAS) Global was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. The company hopes to launch up to 200 similar satellites by 2020, with the aim of providing affordable communication services for those underserved across the Equatorial Belt.
