The north-east is set to be transformed in to a winter wonderland this Christmas with this year’s stunning Press and Journal Energy Snow Ball. The event, in association with CHC Helicopter, will be more spectacular than ever, as guests celebrate the festive season under the stars in a beautiful glass marquee at the historic quadrangle at Marischal College. World-class entertainment and luxury dining are a guarantee this festive season– giving revellers the opportunity to celebrate a special time of the year with friends, clients and colleagues. The soundtrack for the evening will be provided by Tony Hadley, the former frontman of the internationally renowned Spandau Ballet. His appearance will ensure that there is an extra touch of ‘Gold’ to complement the stunning décor in the glass marquee. The singer has performed at impressive venues across the world. Guests are invited to join the party under starlight at the event on Saturday, December 2. "The atmosphere is going to be like nothing Aberdeen has seen before with world class entertainment and a stunning marquee. "The night is a must not miss event with dancing under the stars. "It's an opportunity to celebrate all that's good about this region, its sector and the people who make it all happen." The Energy Snow Ball remains the largest event on the social calendar for the energy sector in Aberdeen. It provides the opportunity for the industry to come together and network with the best of the region’s energy industry. Further entertainment will be provided from talents recognised across the globe, as the event provides an opportunity for well-deserved year-end celebration and relaxation. Marie Boulton Aberdeen City Council’s culture spokesperson said: “The Snowball in the Quad for the festive season is a wonderful addition to the lively and distinctive high profile events we have in the city, including family favourites like the Highland Games and the award-winning SPECTRA, and historical and cultural events such as Silver City Stories.” The event is supported by a number of companies who recognise the value of the event. Survitec Group, a silver sponsor of the event, has been a long-term backer of the Energy Snow Ball.
