CHC nets two-year North Sea contract extension with Shell

Shell has signed a two-year contract extension with CHC Helicopters to continue flight services in the North Sea.

The Anglo-Dutch operator and the Canadian aviation firm had been partners for the last five years.

CHC initially served Shell’s Central North Sea assets but the contract was later expandedf to onclude all of Shell’s northern North Sea activities.

Mark Abbey, CHC Regional Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said he was “delighted” with the contract extension.

He added: “We will continue to evolve our services and embrace the latest technology to best meet customer needs, building on our decades of experience in UKCS oil and gas activity.”

Karl Fessenden, President and CEO of CHC Helicopter, added: “CHC is proud to continue to strive to provide safe and reliable transportation services to Shell in and around the North Sea as part of our global service for Shell and we look forward to continuing our relationship based on safety, efficiency and value.”
