Centaur Engineering has announced a major partnership with the Hennik Group’s flagship publication The Manufacturer to deliver a new, high-level manufacturing conference that will run alongside the Subcon, Advanced Manufacturing and Engineer Design & Innovation Shows at the NEC, Birmingham, from 6 to 8 June this year.

It will complement the parallel conference produced by Centaur’s own flagship brand, The Engineer, which will focus on technological, economic and market trends, as well as highlighting outstanding examples of innovative engineering.

The Manufacturer Conference will focus on advanced manufacturing, manufacturing materials and subcontract manufacturing supply chains. Themes will include Industry 4.0, novel manufacturing processes, additive manufacturing and strategic issues and best practice in sector supply chains.

Event director Gordon Kirk said: “The Engineer is universally recognised as a provider of high-quality independent editorial focused on technology and innovation, and The Manufacturer is a leading industry resource for manufacturing news, features and analysis.

“We are delighted to be working with The Manufacturer on this brand-new conference, which will add substantial value for visitors to the Subcon, The Advanced Manufacturing Show and The Engineer Design & Innovation shows. By drawing on the complementary strengths of The Engineer and The Manufacturer, we will be able to provide a landmark conference offering for this cross-discipline, cross-sector group of events.”

Nick Hussey, CEO at Hennik Group, publishers of The Manufacturer, said: “The advent of new digital technologies in engineering and manufacturing has led to a number of events in the sector that try to explain their impact, but none that offer the combined pedigree and experience of The Manufacturer and The Engineer. We are delighted to be working with Centaur, and excited about bringing these two iconic brands together to support the vital UK supply chain manufacturing base.”
