Age Discrimination Legislation - 1st Oct

22/09/2006
1st October 2006 sees the introduction of the Age Discrimination Act. The regulations mean it is now unlawful for employers to discriminate on the grounds of age. This applies to existing employees and also to potential employees. Companies are required to make recruitment, training, promotion and redundancy decisions based on skills and ability rather than age.
