The Recruitment Process

Introduction

In order to fully understand your aspirations, skills and experience we feel that we should see you in person to get to know you and of course give you the chance to get to know us. So once you contact us we will arrange a mutually convenient time to meet.

Initial meeting

You will be greeted by one of our team and asked to complete an application form and some other mandatory checks before we have a chat on a one-to-one basis. We will ask about your details of residence, work history, qualifications, referees and what types of work you are seeking. Our team is there to assist you at any time during your initial meeting with us.

Database update

Following our meeting we will enter all your details in our database and complete reference checks. With our database search facilities we can now begin matching your skills and preferences with our vacancies. Depending on your preferences and if appropriate we can proactively contact clients on your behalf.

Job match

When we match your requirements with those of a vacancy we will discuss your details extensively with our client as well as with yourself. We will also go through any specific details in relation to the job.

Interview

Interested clients/employers may ask to meet you, normally this applies to permanent positions, however we may need to arrange this for some temporary positions too. We will be there to support you throughout this process whatever your request.

Interview follow-up

Immediately after your interview with a client we will contact you to find out how it went, and discuss any concerns or further questions you might have. We will then contact our client and discuss the interview with them so that we can let you know the outcome a.s.a.p.

Unsuccessful

In the unfortunate event of being unsuccessful we will ensure that our client gives their reasons for this so that we can advise you and of course learn from it ourselves. Remember your success is our success!

Job Offer - Permanent role

When you are successful and being offered a permanent position we will liaise with your new employer and get details of all the important things such as salary, start date and any other benefits that might apply and confirm all of these in writing. We will then wish you luck and hope to keep in touch.

Job offer - Temporary position

When you are successful and have been offered a temporary position we will liaise with our client and get details of all the important things for your assignment such as hourly rate of pay, start date, any job specific details etc. and send all this information to you in a RMS starter pack.

Induction - Temporary position

On some occasions you may need to go through a staff induction at your place of work and this may be conducted by either RMS or our client. The purpose of this is to go through details such as company (client) activities, policies & rules, health & safety requirements, responsibility of placement, site tour etc.

Pay conditions - Temporary position

You will work one week in advance and then be paid each Friday for the hours worked the week before. Details of all hours worked need to be submitted to RMS by the Monday after the week worked to ensure payroll deadlines are met. Your wages will be sent directly to your bank account.

Ongoing service

Throughout your registration with us, whether you are on assignment or waiting to find the right job, we will provide you with continued support as and when you need it through ongoing contact and we always welcome feedback from all our candidates about all aspects of their experience in dealing with RMS.
